Why 'Flip Flop CEO' ? It started about 15 years ago. I had a couple of major surgeries in one years time and needed to come up with some income during my time home. One of my daughters was in need of swim wear, bikinis in particular. I made her a couple and she just didn't like the way they fit. So I made a couple more. Same results. It took quite a few before I got a fit she liked. In the mean time, I have about a dozen suits sitting on the shelf with no home.
So the difficult to satisfy daughter said that she would take them to some of her friends and see if they liked them. Lucky for me, they did and she sold all of them in a heart beat. And the girls and their friends requested more.
Thus started my new career. I went from working in the corporate world with all the benefits of health insurance and paid vacations to working at home. Yeah - there's no paid vacations or corporate perks but the benefits are amazing.
I have had the pleasure of spending a vast amount of time with my grand children. Taking vacations, even with the grand kids, that we can spend time on the beach in between appointments with surf shops. It is all sort of like being paid to go on vacation.
Do I wear flip flops? Oh yeah! Do I wear flip flops when on vacation? Yep. Do I wear flip flops even when there is snow on the ground at my home (where I work, all the time)? I sure do. I even own socks with a cut out between the big toe and the others, just so I can keep my feet warm, while wearing my flip flops.
There you have it. I am my own boss. I wear my flip flops daily.
